Pack 40 Cub Scouts in Quincy

Cub Scout Pack 40 has been around for many years. Just like any activity, it has its ups and downs. We currently have around 15 boys and are in a rebuilding stage. We have a good number of active parents and boys and are looking to do more as we grow and learn more about the program and get more training.

St Paul Lutheran Church here in Quincy is our Sponsor and we meet there.

January 27, 2008 Sledding

It has been many years since Pack 40 had a sledding trip...yesterday we had a great time. The weather was perfect, mid-20s with a hint of snow here and there with no breeze to speak of. We had roughly 20 boys girls and friends and maybe probably 10+ parents. We left just before 2 in the afternoon, and had to drag everyone home just before 5 pm. I think we might still be up there if it was up to the kids. There were numerous parents with cameras, so I am sure we will have a few entries with different pictures this week.

January 2008 Pack Meeting

Last night we had our January Pack Meeting. 3 more boys earned their Bobcat badges and we had some other awards. Ben got a prize and a patch for popcorn sales in Nov. 2007. We also talked about our sledding trip planned for Jan. 27th, so we should have lots of good pictures and things to talk about next week. Lots of events are coming up...so check back often for new pictures and updates.

Popcorn Sales: Ben, Julian and Angel (not present)

Bobcat Awards: Blake, Tom, & Colby
